jefequeso: how is that game, anyway?

lowyhong: To be honest, against my expectations, I liked it a lot. It still has a lot more to go, but the developer's an automaton, working away at new features every few days. In one of his most recent updates, he actually added mini fighter ships and small outposts. The guy takes advice really seriously.
And sounds like he's at least willing to talk to us lowly peons (something that a surprising number of indie devs don't seem to be willing to do). Hmm... if money weren't so tight, I'd probably buy it. It sounds like just the sort of game I'd have an absolute blast playing. Perhaps over the summer when work picks up.

Sinizine: A lot of stuff mentioned already but I think Spiderweb Software would be a decent fit.
This. I particularly want the older titles like Exiles, but they don't work well with Win7 (at least the first one).

lowyhong: I spoke to the developer of 3079. He may consider joining up when the game's nearer to completion.

OT: I wonder if, once I have a decent game to show, I could sign on with GOG as a indie developer... would certainly help me distribute my games to the people that would probably like them...

hmm...
I've been wondering the same thing actually. I've been trying to get a team together to develop purely 8-bit games (not just 8-bit inspired, but through and through 8-bit, a bit like Wizorb on Steam).
Sent some emails ( currently 16 ) to indie developers .

first post updated :)

Frictional Games seems like a good fit, too.

Ahh, of course. Yes, they would be perfect.

Also, what about Croteam? I believe that they're still indie, right?

Yes. Ah, imagine if GOG hired on Croteam's PR guy? The resulting press releases and news postings would be insane.

I hate those SS videos

spinefarm: Actually do we really need Rovio? Mojang yes...Rovio no :)

Darling_Jimmy: You don't think Angry Birds on Gog would bring in a few new customers?
Hasn't GOG come out and said they will have nothing to do with casual games? Angry Birds is about as casual as casual gets.
I'd love to see Arcen Games here (Ai War, Tidalis, A Valley Without Wind). But it's up to GOG I believe, as I dunno if they accept games that require Cd-keys.

Except for the casual games already in the Gog catalogue, I suppose you're right. Just like Gog said there would be no indie games and stuck to their guns. I shouldn't have said Rovio was a sure thing to arrive on Gog. Oh wait, I said the opposite:

Darling_Jimmy: My prediction is all of them except Mojang and Rovio.
* Now that's sarcasm.
I think the Zombie Cow (now Size Five Games I think?) guys would be a good fit, Time Gentlemen Please/Ben There Dan That are pretty good and there's a strong adventure following here, think they'd do well.

Seconded Frictional Games too.
I hope Fascimania gets to join once Kilgazar is finished. :D

Oh wait...

/shameless plug (runs away)
Sooooo, do we actually have a solid defintion of "indie"? Because Frozenbyte came up, and I wouldn't consider them indie...

Not EA.
