If I remember rightly GOG did some work on BG&E to make it work on modern systems. You might be best off just grabbing the GOG, all things considered.

bansama: I've only purchased one thing from them, Alpha Protocol. The site is exceptionally basic, as is their service, but they are still fairly new to the whole thing. Perhaps in the future, they'll get their act together.
I would just add they are also a friendly and helpful bunch which always scores points with me. I remember I bought the pre-order for Football Manager 2011 from them and clicked the wrong link which didn't give me the 20 megadrive game promo. I popped that up on twitter not moaning just to let people know to take care on which button they clicked and next thing I got an e-mail from them saying they were sorry for the confusion and had added the games to my account.

That would be a while after I used them for AP. Nice to hear they're trying to please though.
