I might've started a similar thread awhile back but though it would be cool if Steam and Gate could join forces with IndieBundles.com and give all customers one week to sort unwanted games from their libraries to convert to giftables.

Hand all those giftables over to IndieBundle and Indiebundle could make multiple bundle auctions with them where all proceeds would go to benefit sick kids or something important like that.

What do you think? Do you think it would work?
Why? It's not like there is a limit of codes in the internet.

They could just give out new codes.

I used to think that, until I heard that Prey is not for sale on Steam because they ran out of codes

Go figure.

Prey isn't necessarily due to limited codes as it is the publisher currently holding back from printing more while Prey's ownership is being sqaubbled over and decided upon.

There are three other games that wound like this too and were one time on GOG

Obscure
Hostile Waters
Battle Engine Aquilla (<---I think it was GOG this was pulled from)

That would cost them the $ they could have made for that second copy where as our unwanted ones have already been paid for - End result is gamers genuinely giving back to society themselves and easing their guilt for over spending on stupid games XD

No. You have a number generator which you use to churn out a number of codes, maybe a few thousands which you send towards the game registry and retailers.

What you are supposing is, apart from not making sense in the first place, vastly more expensive on manhours alone.

Ah, I see what you're saying - It would be cheaper just to give away a second free copy instead of staffing offices with overtime workers to sort through thousands of libraries.

Even if everyone sent an email saying 'Pull these titles from my account' ....yeah - I see what you're getting at.
