Hello!
Is it possible, that LSL is not part of GOGs Sierra-license? I have seen a post at mixnmojo claiming that LSL ist licensed to Replay Games. So is it possible, that we will never see Larry here?

It's possible, but that post seems to suggest that Replay licensed the rights rather than acquiring or buying the rights. So, it's unlikely that it's barred by the deal from appearing elsewhere.

That being said, I don't have any specific information on when if ever it will show up.

It does seem that unlike other Sierra classics those rights did not go to Activision. It's a shame the currents rights holders have not released the originals here.

There is a disc collection of all the Larry games that you can get quite cheap.
Well, there was a news post a few days go on Kotaku I believe that stated a remake of Larry 1 is in the works, possibly followed by the other five games in the series (2, 3, 5, 6 and 7). If the remakes are like the monkey island ones (keeping both the originals and new versions together), then I doubt it'll be released in GoG.

Here's the news post:

Also, the Larry collection isn't available in any digital retailers I believe. STEAM had sierra games way before GoG did, and Larry isn't in their catalog.
I remember someone saying that after Magna Cum Laude tanked, Vivendi sold the franchise rights to Codemasters, which is how we ended up with Box Office Bust and no GOG.com (or digital) release of the Larry games.

Then again, the Broken Sword remakes made it to GOG, so who knows?

Sierra did release an XP collection of the Larry games though, just like they did for Space Quest, Police Quest and King's Quest. It doesn't include Larry 7 for some reason, but it was 1-6 on it and uses DosBox. It's not on Steam because one assumes the rights were lost by then, but you can get it for $10 or less on amazon and such.
Just because Activision doesn't have the rights doesn't mean that the games will never be on GOG. But it does make their appearance next week highly unlikely, yes.

Well, the Broken Sword ones were barely remakes, considering they just upped the graphics quality a bit. Then again yeah it would depend mainly on the devs.

That's why I mentioned digital retailers specifically ;)

Well it's Dosbox so I doubt they're DRM'd in any way, just copy the disc to your HDD and pretend you bought it here ;)
