ddickinson: I decided to use an old wooden chest that I found in the attic for the raffles, instead of my plain cardboard box. It's not the biggest chest, so I thought it would be best to make each entry small. Four folds would have probably been okay, but eight folds doesn't seem to get stuck together when I'm shuffling the entries in the box.
Plus it's more fun unfolding the winner when you have more fools to unfold.
Now if only I can get the chest to play a drum roll while I'm picking the winner :).
Ha, same here, slowly unfolding amps up the tension! I think the only way to make raffle drawing even more fun would be to insert the raffle papers into cookies, Chinese fortune cookie style. Baking is fun so I think that's going to be my strategy with the next giveaway.
I would of course eat all cookies but the first one would decide who the winner is.
Btw, attics are the best (miss my Grandma's house, used to do expeditions into the depths of the attic there, finding all kinds of stuff. Better than a museum)
