I am trying to defeat Kali but everytime my whole party gets killed by the megaton attack (the Dark Lord apparently has the same attack). My party is around level 73 thus already overleveled. Anyone knows how to avoid it?

Never use Holy on her, it'll only regenerate her HP. Ice & Thunder are the only elemental attacks that land 100% damage. All the others, apart from Holy, land 50%.

Percentages of her Attacks used: Normal Attack (7.1%), Mind Flay (7.1%), Smite (7.1%), Double Attack (7.1%), Groundslam (7.1%), Crush (7.1%), Implosion (7.1%), Atomic Flare (7.1%), Whirlwind Massacre (7.1%), Devastation (7.1%), Rain of Death (7.1%), Megaton Explosion (7.1%), Annihilation (7.1%).

I think it's just a matter of luck and patience to defeat her. Please note that if you do defeat her, you'll receive Kali's Ring, which is the best item in the game, and which you'll need for the next Super-Boss.

Somehow this reminds me of the optional ultra bosses in every FF game...

Thanks, i have tried putting deserter's boots on my party to increase agility alot, so everytime atleast 2 party members survived the attack. I managed to steal all the items and to defeat her, my party gained 13 levels, although 1 member was down so he didnt gained them. But oh well, not going to try it again with a 500k boss, i am happy with this. :p
That ring defnitely is good, too bad there is only 1.

[edit] okay 2 rings, one from stealing and one from the guild. Yeah the game hints more at FF, like the chocobo's and cid.

Good to know. I haven't reached Kali yet as I'm also trying to play other games. Internally cheering every time I boot up Mass effect because I can kill aliens, and make them ded. Ded. DED!

You need to be atleast level 50 for Kali although it was still hard enough at level 73. but those other 3 super bosses you need to kill will gain you alot of levels in no time, especially with experience rings.
Seems you get 2 of the Kali rings one from stealing and one from the guild, combine it with an amarinthe ring and you are really boosted. Though i doubt they will move over to a new game or reborn whatever that involves.

But good luck with killing those aliens. ;)
