German, French, Spanish, Italian!

Dear users! We've just introduced additional language support to 10 of our classic games. For the most part, we're talking German and French language here, but if you look closely you should notice a bit of Spanish and a pinch of Italian in the mix. As the users who have been with us for some time know, and as the newcomers shall learn, we're always doing our best to secure additional content to the game distributions that are offered on GOG.com. Last week, it was 30 high-quality soundtracks encoded in lossless FLAC format, this time around we give you additional language versions for the following games:

Fragile Allegiance - French, German
Darklands - German
Master of Magic - French, German
Alone in the Dark 3 - French, German, Italian
Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare - French, Spanish
Sid Meier's Colonization - French, German, Spanish
Waxworks - French, Spanish
Pirates Gold Plus - French, German
Simon the Sorcerer 1 - French, German, Italian, Spanish
Simon the Sorcerer 2 - French, German

As usual, if you already own any of these games, the new language options will be available to you with no additional charge. In fact, you should have an update notification popping-up somewhere on to of the page, right now! We hope you'll enjoy this new addition and we promise to continue adding more language packs in the future.

I corrected the entries for the Kyrandia series from X to V for the german version.

I now did add the option:


O for "Game Language on GOG, but not mentioned in game description"


and took the liberty to edit your Kyrandia entries.

I think, it is better to avoid confusion. Some people who don't know that German is included may think it as a mistake and reedit it to X.

Just one question (because I down own the Kyrandia Games): Is the German language text-only or does it include German speech (if available). Did the original games include German speech or just German text/English speech?
If it is only German text on GoG, but there are German speech versions available, it should stay X!


@jorlin: Please edit the header, I don't know how to combine table cells in this spreadsheet editor.

The "O" is a good choice for that problem.

For example I changed the 'german' "X" at Theme Hospital and Theme Park in an "O" because:

Thats a good question... Someone must have screwed it up. I've fixed that!

i wonder what's stopping them. cd projekt had done that so getting publisher to agree to have also polish version on gog should not be an issue.
so it has to be on polish side...

or the contracts say English version and adding new language would require a new contract and that might be too costly for gog to do right now.
