I am going nuts. Everywhere I look the games sites only review and test "blockbuster" games.

Anyone know of a good site that primarily focuses on Turn-based strategy games?

One that mentions indie as well as big name games

I don't understand you're looking for a review site or a game site?

Try http://www.outofeight.info/

They don't review turn-based strategy games excusively but such review appear rther frequently (even now, the next to last review is for one such game: Greed Corp).

Also, http://www.wargamer.com/ seems like an obvious option.

I second The Wargamer. Overall their reviews are high quality too.

Since there ain't many of them anymore, half a page actually is enough. ;)

Here you have a chronological overview http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronology_of_turn-based_strategy_video_games seeing that Civ 5 and Elemental basically covered 2010. And then there are some forums like the

This is a good example as to why I am looking for a Turn-based/strategy game news website.

2010 had far more to offer, that wiki list pretty much shows "big named" companies, and lacks listing indie games etc.

Oh, then I am also interested. Very much indeed. Do you have any examples of what also was released in 2010 in this regard?
This is quite interesting... as I love turn based games most (love to plan moves without stress *gg*), I would be interesting such a site too... maybe I shall open one up :)
I know the question wasn't this but I can recommend Greed Corp and Guardians of Graxia in the turn based department. Also the new Magic the Gathering game is not that bad. I have fun with all of them.

Well I found this site: http://www.matrixgames.com/
Seems like they review mostly "unknown" or small games. Which is nice. Not all are turn-based.

This is pretty sad. Is there no community for turn-based gamers?

I think there must be... we have a kind off small community for Civ4 and playing by eMail all year long :)
There are communities for turn-based strategy games. Only I have the feeling they evolve more around specific large titles and devote only some part of their space to small games.

However I know more Civilization communities apart from civfanatics and they always handle also other games.

www.civforum.de (the german civilization community)
www.apolyton.com (one of the oldest)
www.weplayciv.com

Somehow I doubt that there is a meta site specially about turn based strategy.

they don't write reviews, they do sell a lot of strategy games though.. and they've quite a vital community
Kongregate.com has a wide variety of lesser known indy games of all kind.
Battle for Wesnoth is one of the best open source tbs games. And its actively developed and extended.
