Cyraxpt: Well, if it's more than 1l in one go, yeah, i could see that being kind of weird, unless it was a really hot day, i remember in my old job i had to unload container with only 1 coworker with time limite and that f-day was hot like hell, whoever was responsible for the drinking machine made some cash out of it, i must have bought 4 or 5 cans of soda (0.35l or 12 oz) in 2 hours.
hedwards: Those sort of static recommendations are quite stupid.
During the summer, I'll drink gallons a day because nobody around here has air conditioning and even when they do they set it at like 78 degrees, which is madness.
So, in order to prevent problems with washing away electrolytes, I'll add iodized salt and potassium to the water. If you're doing that, then you can drink quite a bit before having to worry about water poisoning.
I don't get it, what static recommendation? I've said that it was normal to drink lots of water during hot days and you're confirming it, now, in normal day with a normal temperature, yeah, it's not that normal to drink 1L of water in one go but hey, everyone is free to do whatever they want.
