I come across this

Look at the title, the picture in the video, and pay attention to the lyrics.

Here are the lyrics

[Part I (Wanderer of Time)]

So mysterious is your world,
concealed beyond the stars
Far away from the earth,
it flows one with time and dark as the night
Million shapes and colours
are storming inside your mind
Creating endless dimensions
Forming universes without walls

Let go! of the stars, the stars that fell into the sea
Let go! of your thoughts and dreams,
what can you see now

You cannot save them anymore
- Wanderer of time -
It's too late now
- Creator of Dimensions -
Destroy the walls of time
Hands of the blind are holding your fate
Tides of life will take you away, will take you away

Starchild!
Visions are born from the unknown force
It dominates the way of time
The dream only ends, when the worlds come to an end
Starchild!
You cannot escape to the dark streams of the sea,
to suppress your dreams
Nothing can keep you away from the need to create
'cause your path is free...

[Part II (Buring Star)]

I've hold the fire within myself
Years I've walked in the coldest winds
Through the deserts of sand and snow
The time is passing and I know,
that I'm wasting my life, destroying my dreams
I'm diving into the bottomless sea
From sorrow and pain I find my strength
the more pain I feel, the more I see
Now I'm watching my life flowing in the dark
like streams of fear running through my heart
And it's wearing me down until I'm gone
Soon I'll join the endless whirls of stars
And I fall deeper into the unknown voids
Something is dying, yet something is born
And I fall into infinity like a burning star
When will I find my silent dawn
I fall like a burning star!

[Part III (The Creation)]

The curtains of mist are fading
and the veils of star clouds are revealed
Storms of new energy
flows in the depths of my mind
New constellations are born
in total harmony of perfection
And the dissonant unbalance was broken
as the colours fell straight from the light

[Part IV (The Sea of Stars)]

I'm floating in the sea of stars,
I'm drifting away from the shore
I will be lost in the dream when the dark days come
But I will make the time run backwards and
I'll make the stars shine again
I will light up the sky to a bright crimson nights
... And they'll shine together forever
With brilliant silver colours they'll shine forever

[Part V (Finale)]

The whirls of stars takes you now far away
away from the cold nightmare
Let go of you thoughts and dreams
and you will feel the warmth once again
Starchild! in the Sea of Stars you fall
You fall like a burning star!
Starchild! in the Sea of Stars you fall
... But there is no end to creation

What we got was a real, original, quality Bioware product. *sarcasm*
Hope Wintersun receives royalty for this. Maybe the extra cash can help Jari finish the album on [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_(Wintersun_album]time[/url]. Harr harr.
I don't get it.

They created the ending to ME3 from the lyrics to some semi obscure metal band?

That's exactly what I thought, because I don't get it either. Are people so desperate for even more reasons to lynch Bioware because some band's lyrics sound they could be interpreted to be like what happened at the end of ME3? Sorry, but this sounds a little far-fetched to me.

And, to play a little contrarian here, what are people accusing BW of doing with this? That they ripped off this band? How do we know that there wasn't at least some level of acknowledgement between both parties? Ah, I knew that picture looked familiar. But again, how do we know that Bioware didn't license the work from the original artist, or got the artist to do that image for them?
Anyone know the source of that Youtube video background image? Just because knowing its source might affect the funniness of this thing considerably.

While looking for it, I learned that nowadays if you google image search anything with the word "moon" in it, you'll mostly get Twilight images. :p

we don't. and even if we did, nobody would give a shit if it wasn't en vogue to criticise Bioware for anything you could think of...

meanwhile, nobody acknowledges that ME3 DID turn out to be a fantastic game, albeit one with a weak ending (but what else is new in videogames?).

gamers these days aren't really gamers anymore, it seems to me. instead of enjoying what we got, most people seem to look for any excuse to smear a game and a developer with dirt. i'd like to see one of those fat losers achieve anything for a change...

Because Bioware also used a poorly photoshopped version a of stock photo from the internet for Tali's face reveal, so its not the only thing they're copying.

I agree. the first half hour was a bit of a yawn, but it finds it paces when it gives you control of Normandy again, and it is actually a very good game from then till the ending. Quite a lot to explore and discover.I also think the differences between classes are better this time, and skills are more balanced. I enjoyed the time it took to complete it, and will probably have a another go soon with different class and taking different choices.

To me that is what is important, and this kinds of critics seems petty. There is noting original any more anyway, it all depends on execution. Neither this song, nor the image is very original either. Both are fairly standard sci-fi imagery and metal lyrics.

And I don't understand exactly what's wrong with that either..

Since I don't mind ME3 spoilers, I googled that, watched a youtube video about it and I actually thought it was really clever and fitting: The following dot is a link to a ME3 spoilery video for those interested .

Actually you are wrong. If you go to the BioWare forums you would see that the general sentiment is that people think ME3 was a brilliant game with lots of epic and emotional moments but it had an ending that didn't live up to the expectations they had nor to the promises BioWare made.
You are judging an entire fandom over a vocal minority that has too much time on their hands to find stupid shit to rage about. The majority of the people that are politely asking for a better ending are the ones that joined the charity drive and I haven't seen them bashing the game or BioWare staff. You'll probably dislike it but it seems they are getting acknowledgement and may be able to get what they want.
