Great! Welcome to GOG and to the forum. Like many here, I don't like DRM either and neither do I need any achievements. So I think you will fit in well with the crowd.

Steam tends to cater to folks going for newer titles and obviously GOG does a good job with more retro (which is my fave) so I'm curious if you play older games, and if so what kind?

I'm always keeping an eye out for folks really good at games and genres that I suck at so that I can hit them up for advice. :D
This coming week going to buy Witcher:2 and Farcry:2. As for older games only played a few. I like puzzle games and first person shooters. Also love racers.

Inf7cted: So will GOG have more AAA games with the launcher? Just want more options against steam on PC. Also would like to be apart of a community, who is respectful and helpful. Steam forums have gone to hell.
Don't know. GOG focuses on what is not old AAA titles that have gone into obscurity, but they wouldn't say no to a bunch of big publishers. I wouldn't mind seeing The Elder Scrolls franchise here.
