Is a nice film. Final part is more action than false documental, but stil good. I like D9 very much.

I too love the District 9. Definetly one of the best ScFi movies of recent years.

One thing that makes me think, in addition to Prawns origin, is their technology. More specifically the tech on Prawns mothership.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but if you pay close attentation when Christopher Johnson is choosing the destination, it seems that their homeplanet is in other galaxy entirely. And top of that, Christopher says they will be back in couple of years! That's some damn state-of-the-art travelling if you ask me, especially compared to general tech level of Prawns.

I need to rewatch the movie, but that's what I've always seen during that scene.

Mmm... I think I should watch District 9 again. It is very good movie. It almost passed under my radar along with another very good sci-fi movie around the same time, The Moon. Luckily I noticed them both and grabbed them on BD disk.

Too bad good sci-fi movies are so rare these days. The kind of movies with some real thought under it and not just more action and bigger fake explosions.
