If you downloaded the entire collection of games, here, how large would your hard drive have to be?
You could count by looking at each game's specific page..
But perhaps Kurina knows.;)

I doubt even she bought Sensible World of Soccer 2006.

Wow, i didn't even know we had that. But since she won all GOGs, and this one is here for some time, i guess she didn't have to buy it. ;)

It would be funny if she actually refused to take the game free. I would.

Refusal is futile.
You're one of those OCD's who don't want a game on a shelf, like that JA:DG person?;P
Still, Kurina would have to download them all..

I guess the best bet is to add them up manually.
I think someone did that calculation some time ago

No not at all but I would never bother to download it, i'm sure Kurina hasn't either. Unless curiosity got the better of her and then... well that was the longest 5 mins in history.
Dunno, I have a lot of GOGs (I would guess somewhere around 40%) and they only "weigh" around 150GB. I'd bet you could fit the whole thing on 1 TB or 1.5 TB at the worst.

Cool :)

I've been waffling about 1 or 2 TB upgrade. Using the Montgomery Scott formula, if I'm presently using a third of 1 TB, then I'll need 1.25, but the extra wiggle room wouldn't be amiss. Just wanted to know if there was a rough guesstimate.

I won't be buying the whole collection (sorry GOG Guys, I just don't like sports games and I suck at RTS) but I figured the whole collection would give me an idea for anything I'd want for the next 3-5 years.

Thanks Everyone. You've been entertaining and informative :)
So, you're preparing for nuclear fallout, ey? Good thinking. Will keep you busy until the radiation effects start to dissipate.

Yeah... now to figure out how to keep gasoline viable for that long, for the generators, you know. ;)

212 GB

I made a script which calculated this number using the download size information found on the Gamecards.
Hmm, my guess of 250gb wasn't too bad then, my 74 downloaded games take up 82.6gb but I have a lot of the larger ones so I was going to guess an average of abot 750mb/game
Good to know. :)

I was working on going to every game and adding up the totals, but I didn't know if the dl size includes the extras or of that's just the game, and then, even though I've been doing conversions since bits turned to bytes, I couldn''t remember if it was a straight 1000 or if or was 1024 in all cases. After a 10 hour day at work, my brain sometimes refuses to do math of any kind. :)
