Take a gander at this crazy anti-smartphone! A physical address book at the back, and the most bare-bones design imaginable. I would've totally got one for my little cousin, until I saw the price. 80 Euros? At that price range it's clearly designed for trendy hipster douchebags who would love to brag about how much they paid for the least intelligent phone on the planet.
I like the idea, although the paper and pen on the back sounds makes it sound like *John* is just taking the piss. I think there is a future for minimalist tech, but maybe not so big and clunky.
As a smartphone user, I have to say I love the idea, but surely the simplicity goes hand in hand with a low price. I can kind of see the pen and paper as a piss take, but at the same time you have to store your contacts somewhere.

Love the idea, but it would have to be sub £30 before I could seriously entertain the idea of getting one.
80 Euros for that? I can spend 80 bucks on a smartphone contract easy.
If you're actually paying for a cell phone 80 Euros isn't really outside the range of normalcy. If there's a good antenna and chip in there, good speakers and mic, etc. you can over 50 really quick. Not to mention good batteries cost quite a lot (it claims 3 weeks of standby time, that's no small feat).

Have a look at this then.

Lol, nice find...
I could see a market for this among the elderly.
My dad once tried to give my grandmother a cell phone (for emergencies and such), and had me teach her how to use it. It went well while I was giving her instructions, and she could make calls with it that day - but once she got home and I wasn't there, she couldn't work out how to make a simple call.
A phone this simple might just work for an elderly user - the big buttons in particular might be helpful to those with poor eyesight too.
