Lol, didn't know this one. I'm surprised the ad doesn't end with "John Romero is gonna make you his friend".

I wonder if it'll be back to basics like fun Doom was or if he's trying something different. What killed Daikatana in the end was overly ambitious plans, which were harder than expected to achieve with the tech of that day. And bland design I guess.

I'm sure this is going to be even more awesome than Daikatana ever was.

I was hoping that would be the case but I finally gave it a try a few months ago, going in with kinda neutral expectations, and ended up very disappointed. Admittedly I stopped playing while I was still n the first chapter and heard that it's supposed to get much better afterwards but still - the first impression is just awful, worse than in any other shooter of that era I have played (at least any shooter that wasn't low budget crap made by a completely inexperienced team).
