avatar
81RED: A continuous
"Could not get the lenght of the file.
Trying again..."
The last experiment: try to go to your my account page and to order alphabetically your games (there is a menu on the right side). Then run again the application and compsre again the two lists

No difference, sorry :-(
HOWEVER: If I select the "shelf" view (with all the nice boxart pictures", then the problem goes away :)

No problem man, it's a GIANT leap in the right direction. :)
....I was under the impression that the additional materials would also get fetched (have been bugging GOG since day one about that). Have not happened on the few titles I've tried so far..
EDIT: (Yet again :)) If I make sure that the "shelf" view is selected from the myaccount page, then everything works as it should. :)

That's a good thing to know for starting debug :) I'll try to do something asap :)

Add "shelf" to the end of the URL when fetching the library :)

e.g. https://www.gog.com/en/myaccount/shelf instead of https://www.gog.com/en/myaccount

Well, this is not a problem of the downloader itself: the image is not present on imageshack (the downloader starts to fail when tryng download this image http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/6172/septerracore.png.
This means that I have also to handle this case ( a not existing remote file)... I will fix with the next release...

I suspected as much.
I've sent an email toGoG support for asking if it is possible to use the images seen in myaccount page in the GUI, or there are problems with copyright...

I'm sure most of them are from the FamFamFam Silk, Diagona or Fugue icon packs (that's who GOG credits on the "Our Thanks" page). Both of which are free to use as long as you give credit to their authors.

This is a fantastic creation! I'm using it right now on Tex Murphy: Overseer, and even though the download apparently keeps dying every 2 minute, the script beautifully picks up and resumes!

Hopefully, the end result won't be corrupted like the AIR Downloader tends to do with fragmented downloads... If it isn't then you are my new hero, sir! :D
