As for the topic at hand, no he didn't save us from WW III, what saved us from that was the shitload of nukes that the US and Russia have pointed at each other. Reducing the number of nukes out there is good, eliminating them pretty much inevitably leads to either a new world war or them going back into being. It's sort of like how we got nukes then everybody else knew that they could be done and within a decade or so the Russians had theirs.

Nukes and all the top secret convention and treaty violating shite the gov't won't tell the people about like viral and chemical weapons stockpiles(supposedly there's just a few limited quantities of known natural and manufactured agents for "research" purposes...that WE KNOW ABOUT.)m and other skanky shite.

Destroying that stuff isn't easy. If it's done incorrectly it can cause catastrophic problems. And you do need to have some of it for research purposes, it doesn't take a lot for study.

Also the CDC keeps small pox on life support in case we need it for further study in the future. Never know when a disease of similar characteristic is going to pop up.

I just used that as an example of what they tell us about......to illustrate the likelyhood there's much more they're keeping under wraps.

It's a weak argument to make. Of course there's secret stuff, but it isn't anything that violates treaties. If it were they'd know we have it and would begin working on it in short order.
