HereForTheBeer: And if I disagree with future changes to the TOS, I'm then locked out of the software needed to run my business? Yeah, I think I'll find other retailers or other software.
(Yes, I brought that up again)
orcishgamer: Actually this is an extremely valid reason to steer clients away from Steam. Being beholden to a EULA is bad enough, getting screwed by Valve is just unnecessary risk and Valve brings fuck all to most businesses as they don't typically need constant updates, that can actually be a bad thing if your special spreadsheet breaks in the new version.
Speaking as a freelancer, imagine the potential trouble with a client that can result if things go wrong with your hardware/software. I have insurance to cover and settle any potential problems. But if steam were to blame, would there not be a case for them settling the fee? Hell if I know, but maybe someone might
actually have a reason to sue steam after all. Assuming they're still able to!
Pila87: I don't know why everything have to become a damn iPhone.
Sad but true.
