Well, the title's pretty clear, I guess.
The thing is, if I google "Paper Mario DS" I get pictures of Nintendo DS game covers (here and here) of Paper Mario. However, when I google I only get information on the upcoming 3DS title "Paper Mario: Sticker Star", and Amazon gives me absolutely nothing.

So, are those game covers not real, or is there a really well hidden Paper Mario for the DS out there waiting for me?

Now I see that the second picture I linked to has a "By Jasper" under it, so I guess it's just wishful thinking from an artistic Paper Mario fan... :(

The first cover looks strikingly similar to the cover for the N64 game.

I think the first Paper Mario on portables will be the 3DS one...

I never had the N64, so I wouldn't know. But that probably means there is no Paper Mario game for the DS. :(

No, but you should play Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga (GBA) and Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (DS). If you see Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time you should burn it.

Never bothered to play it because I hate the Nintendo baby characters. Anything else messed up in that game?

They swapped the nice continuous overworld for a hub structure that you play through in an entirely linear way. They also removed Bros. attacks and BP and replaced them with rubbish items. Thankfully Bowser's Inside Story fixed the overworld/overly linear type problems and sort of revived Bros. attacks (but they bear more of a resemblance to the Bros. items than they do the original Bros. attacks).

There are a lot of other small things wrong with PiT too, but I can't remember them. I just remember getting halfway through it and realising I hated it. Thankfully I loved BIS.

Will keep a lookout for this! I lug my trusty Game Boy SP around specifically for the older gems. :) This is on its way to my mailbox as we speak. ;)

I didn't hate Partners in Time the way you did but can definitely agree it's by far the weakest of the Mario & Luigi games.

I think if it was the first game in the series I might feel differently, it's just that they managed to make an excellent game and then break everything with the second. :P
I didn't hate it anywhere as much as I make out, it was just a disappointment really. Yay! They're largely independent of each other so it doesn't matter if you play Bowser's Inside Story first and track down Superstar Saga later. You'll be surprised at what Bros. attacks were like originally though!

Since we're on the subject of Mario DS games - what is Mario Party like? I will mostly be playing alone - will I be bored?

Also, what about Yoshi's Island? Any thoughts?
