Recently i am seeing a very very annoying popup in every window of this forum that i open?

It is about 3cm wide and 8cm long (will differ with different screen sizes), At the top is a small search box under that are two tabs, a blue one that says 'coupons' and a grey one that says 'compare'.

Now we get to the annoying part... at the bottom is a blue tab that says 'link swift deals' and under that is an arrow button supposedly to make it scroll away but is so small you mostly miss and it tries to open another page, ,,, oh boy am i getting sick and tired of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems that you got your browser infected. A screenshot would be more helpful to help you identify the Trojan than a verbal description.

This may help you, though.

Edit: Took another look at the article, it suggests to install AdwCleaner which I don't know and may itself be harmful (yup, there's malware spreading through articles that are supposed help you remove a threat). You should keep looking until you find a removal guide that does not require you to install any additional software.

Anyway, sounds like you have the "Swift Browse" trojan/virus or whatever. Shouldn't be too hard to find good information on how to remove it.

That's definitely not part of the GOG website. It could be a toolbar that you accidentally installed or maybe some other kind of adware/spyware.

You might be infected. Probably adware. GOG doesn't have that.

Thank you all, now that i know its 'naughty' i will have to go and visit CNET for some tools - been there, done that, but got a new PC at work and haven't loaded any tools yet other than antivirus (AVG free).

Been going to the porn sites unprotected I see. Could be worse, I hear the Ransomwareis nasty stuff. First try to remove with your standard antivirus/antimalware programs, then search for fixes to your problems if that turns up empty.
Once completed install Firefox or Chrome with Adblock Plus and have Flash embedded sites ask permission to view.

I go to a lot of porn sites but I've never actually been hit with any kind of malware from them. Bing is the worst for me; I swear that little fucker is out to get me.

I want you to try something: Tools, Add-Ons, then see if there's something you don't recognize. Look them up. I recently had to kill some adware on a computer recently, and if this is the reason then it'll save you some frustration down the line. An add-on got installed that was pushing ads into the browsers, and once it was deleted there was no more problems.

I have never known a porn site to have an arsenal equal to some of these main stream commercial sites! Last year our office was hit by that fake antivirus virus.... never seen anything as nasty as that one! Now days we keep all the automatic reporting functions of our antivirus switched off so everyone knows if they see any antivirus report pop up, not to trust it. Everything must be done manually after opening the antivirus program manually!

Conversations of porn sites or conversation of computer virus infections? I think porn is discussed more at this forum than computer viruses. Anyone care to do the research?
