I've been rather tempted by this game in the past but needless to say with the ubiDRM I'm more than a bit wary but 10 bucks is normally the point where I start to consider risks worth the reward. With that in mind, I've got a few questions:

How much has the game progressed since SH3?

How is the ubidrm implemented for this game? Do you lose all progress on the current mission if the connection fails?

In the attached screenshot, what in the name of hell is the second item in the ESRB rating referring to? Are there some kind of prank torpedoes that make an amusing 'sproing' sound when they impact?

It's not the best SH out there, and it's got ubi-er-DRM. I was tempted too but decided to take a pass. Besides, I've got enough on my plate trying to figure out WHAT THE HELL TO DO IN PANZER GENERAL 2. *cough* Sorry. It looks gorgeous though, especially the surface shots.

I assume the game includes some witty WW2 dialogue or something that may or may not be sensitive somewhere in lebanon, hence the ESRB "word of warning".

As for the DRM, the game quite literally stops if you lose the connection. Like a forced pause waiting for the call home to connect.
Actually, I've read that SH5 will let you finish off your current mission if you lose a connection. Then, the next time you connect it will sync up your local save with the cloud version.

Still, pretty much everyone says that SH3 or SH4 is the better game at this point. And since most of the dev team behind SH5 have been subsequently canned, I don't see it improving much.
Ahh bugger it, its only 10 bucks I might as well go for it. I've spent more on worse things I'm sure
