It's sold with 75% off for that amount on Steam, but only less than a day remains of the deal, and I wonder if I should pick it up.
I really liked the previous two Patrician games (I mean Patrician 2 and 3), but I've read mixed reviews about Patrician IV.
Those of you who have first-hand experience with the game, would you recommend me to leap at the opportunity to get it while it's got a lowered price, or is it not worth even that much?

But from the research I have been doing, there may be issues with the patches. It sounds like every single version (retail for each region, each DD service, etc) are different versions. Suggests to me piss-poor support.

I don't have the game but tried the demo and not like it. You can try the demo too. Demo is German BTW.

Just play the third one. Unless of course the graphic must be up to date, in which case €12 isn't that bad of a deal.

Use your money to buy The Guild instead.

Thanks for your replies, I think I won't get it, then. HA! It doesn't work on me, as I'm already the proud owner of said game. (Interesting story... Picked it up as my free game for the review contest for Capitalism Plus; at that time, I didn't know what to expect from it, but, as it turned out, it was a wise choice!)

Then pick-up The Guild 2: Renaissance on the occasion :). But don't forget the beta patch...

Well, I've seen the whole The Guild 2 Pack for ~$5 in Media Markt.
I've not really read any positive feedback on that game, though; everyone seems to prefer The Guild over it, in part due to the it-can't-really-be-this-bad controls. Does the patch for Renaissance improve it that much?

I am Mr The Guild and I think The Guild II is terrible.
