Despite a lot of ho-hum, I'm pretty impressed and I pre-ordered mine today. Who else is getting one?
I wish I could get one but I'm so depressed by all the carriers who are selling the iPhone. You're in Canada, so I suppose I'm asking you: which carrier are you using?

Although Rogers sadly has limited coverage in the west, I'm with Rogers (for a couple reasons):

1. Telus is evil.
2. I have been grandfathered with one of those cheap 6 GB data plans that are apparently so hard to find now-a-days.

EDIT: 3. Also, generally better customer service experiences.

I'm still not sold on any of the major carriers. I'd rather get an Android phone from Wind or Mobilicity. The fact that the good data plans from the Rogers/Telus/Bells of Canada don't exist makes me less interested.

The phone looks good though.

6 GB on your smart phone plan... wtf? Why do they even have a Netflix app? It's not like you sit your ass at home on your wifi and stream Netflix on a fucking phone. And 6GB is a lot more than many carriers offer in the US too. I use Sprint which thankfully still has unlimited.

Have the holding specs come out on the 4S? I want to know what I need to do to not hold it wrong:)

I spoke to a Wind rep last week and I am more confused than ever about the service. Do they only cover some urban areas? Is it considered roaming outside of those zones?

Unlimited would be nice. It was surprising how often I come close to my limit. I tether a lot though.

There was a web comic about Apple stores offering hand modifications by removing the ring and pinky finger so you can finally hold the phone properly but I can't find it anymore.

Damn, I need this to make fun of the yuppies in my office! All the developers have some sort of Android phone, guess what the managers use... yep, you guessed it!

I think the way it works is this: you pay $40 for say, an unlimited plan, which covers data, voice and text in the Wind Zone. If you are outside of it, standard charges apply (couple cents a minute, etc.)
I have iPhone 4 and I am quite happy with it...
I will first try iOS 5 and then make a decision.
Ideally I would like to wait till the next model comes out before upgrading...
One year wait is not that much, hopefully the 4S does not include any must have killer features.
Truth be told I am more interested in iCloud and next Mac Book Pro at this time.
