Thank you, I hadn't read that before, only made my own interpretation.
Balazas I do have a computer on which I play wonderful GOG games but as my life is rather restricted at the moment due to pain unable to sit at computer - so TG for iPad which is by no means a toy
Oh dear just seen another post by a name I can't pronounce I am an old lady of 76 and these posts are hurtful I wasn't brought up to be like that

KingofGnG: No. The iPad is a based on the iOS "operating system", which is a toy for people unable to use a real computer and play real games. Sorry about that, but this is just the truth.
Nice. My work got all of management an iPad, and it works great for remote desktop access and note taking when a laptop is bulkier and heavier than you want to carry around all over. I also use mine a ton for PDFs and Pathfinder game night. The only reason mine even has games on it is because my kids like to play them in the car. I also use mine for audiobooks while commuting.

I wanted to get a tablet PC, but I just couldn't find a good one in the same price range. That's changed, now, of course, thanks to the whole tablet revolution. I've also had incredibly bad experience w/ my Galaxy S phone and my Nook, so I wasn't interested in getting an Android tablet.
Just be a man and buy an Android tablet :p like the EEE Transformer. I can play loads of DOS games using AnDOSBOX.
Have you considered using some of the RDP clients for iPad and running the games on your PC but streaming them to your iPad?

There is Splashtop that works very well for iPad or Android tablets, but it requires a good network/wifi connection and that the computer is on and logged on.

But in the end playing computers game on a tablet is definitely not something very comfortable unless you have a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse.
Thanks Gerson and to all of you who made helpful comments - hope to be back at pc to play games in near future in meantime as I said, I don't know what I would have done without iPad

iOS is hardly more of a toy than Windows is. If you want an OS you can really mess around with, get something UNIX based. I think it's pretty funny that you consider it a toy because you can't play some games on it though.

I consider iShits toys because they ARE toys, where you can "touch" just the homogenized food Apple decided was good for you and not what you want. I don't need anyone to decide for me, I'm not an Apple-sheep....

Seriously, do you have to pop into every thread that mentions anything besides a PC (which we all know god gave to man on the first day) with your hyperbolic vitriol? Clearly a lot of games do run fine on an iPad (not that I own one, I don't) and we've already been over the control input argument in multiple threads, do we really need to repeat it?

I mean, the horror that someone might want to actually game when they leave their house (yes, some people do leave their home at times).

This is just you rationalizing now, as you've spewed the same shit all over Android and just about every other mobile device out there.

You might check out places that are doing good HTML5 games. I know Newgrounds does these kinds of games, some are excellent, but I think they are all Flash which won't work on your iPad (I know there's some work around stuff, but I don't know how well it works).

This is hilarious. You sound like a 12 year old trying far too hard to be cool. iShits? Apple-sheep? Did you take angsty pre-teen 101 or something? I hope you got an A because, damn, you deserve it.

KingofGnG: <self indulgent crap>
This is low.

I've picked fights on these forums before, some have got pretty heated. However when someone says they're a 76 yr old trying to get some enjoyment from playing games, but they're having trouble physcially getting to their PC, you either help them, or you just let the thread go.

Start a new thread for bashing apple, cos it's totally the right time for that. Perhaps instead just stop yourself.
Oh wow, some really nice people here after all thanks. Still on iPad as pain well and truly back. Just like to say that my pc is actually a touch one - of course it has a mouse and keyboard as well. Also although I am quite old!!! I have a lot of experience with pc's and I and I make slot of videos for friends so don't use it just for games. There are some great games for iPad btw. Oh well that's me finished for now. Great talking to you
