StingingVelvet: Calling Oblivion amazing, in all caps nonetheless, really makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
Makes me wonder what they thought of daggerfall.

crdy123: Hey, I always hear people talking about how bad it was beacasue it was dumbed down from the original, I loved the original almost as much as Oblivion but Invisible War wasnt nearly as good as the original but I still liked it. Anyone have their opinions about the game?
In my opinion, if Invisible War had any name other than Deus Ex in front of it, it might have been considered a decent game by the vast majority of gamers. It probably never would have been considered a classic like the original DX is, but it certainly would not have received the hatred and derision it gets now. I actually played IW before I played DX and enjoyed it thoroughly. I liked it the same way I liked other second or third tier FPS games like Tron 2.0 or Chaser; there is really nothing new or innovative about them, but they were fun to play. I didn't understand why so many people seemed to hate it until I did finally play the original. They are definitely two different classes of games and it is makes perfect sense why fans of the first would not have liked the second as a sequel, but on its own, it's really not that bad.

Pemptus: You can like or dislike whatever you want. I was mostly referring to you dismissing graphics on a site dedicated to old games. Old games which mostly don't have even "sub-PS1" graphics.
"Completely generic 1990's gameplay"? What does that even mean?
Doom mod? Wha-? Is this some kind of surreal dream? Where am I? What is this? Blargggg?
I found DE almost unplayable.
