It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I think something in my head just stopped functioning. I may need to reboot.
Okay... So a little girl in a perversely short skirt. This is what Microsoft (Japan) thought would be a good mascot for their browser, what kind of users are they trying to attract?

I know this is the style of anime in Japan at the moment (the strange fascination with underage girls in slutty clothes), but why would you want to associate something like that with your product. Nothing like saying "here perverts, use our browser, we won't record what sites you visit, honest!".
The funny part is that they thought the bum was the best place to put a Windows logo on. :P

Maybe they make a fortune selling those guys to the authorities. ;)

Well, young girls are seen as sex objects in current japanese culture, that's it.

Elmofongo: What does Viruses and Hackers have to do with Web Devs?
Let's just say that for many years, IE was so much of a straggler in terms of standards and performance that web devs had to put up extra work to make their sites IE-compatible (and that was made necessary by the majority of users that stuck to it instead of switching to, well, a modern browser).

You know, I don't think it's good publicity when you show your browser being hit in the back. So much for vigilance...

And Virus and Hackers were rampent because IE was such a straggler in standards and performance?

(it certainly made IE vulnerable to them!)

No, Navagon wrote that to point out that Microsoft's attitude toward web devs was, at best, irresponsive. MS seemed to see them more as an enbuggerance than anything, and failed to evolve.

I see. And now the world mostly uses Google Chrome. Even though it feels so dumb down compared to all the features the old web browsers had. So many button options.

I thought most people use Firefox, but...
is this chart right?

Oh my... why would people use Chrome?
I could understand if they'd use Chromium, but...

Elmofongo: Forgive me for saying this,

Mostly hipsters uses a FireFox to avoid the evil corporatiion like Google or Mircosoft since they violate our privacy and Mozilla does not and its DRM Free. Until Now now they added DRM.

(Yes I am pulling Strawmans so correct me if you can.)
Bullshit. I don't use Chrome because it's a CPU hog. Suuuuure, Firefox might still be bloated, but Chrome has been more problematic for me.

I have a hard time forgiving if there is a chance someone called me a hipster.

I don't change my system much and last time I changed browsers was about 10 years ago (of course I do update). There was no Chrome back then.
I'd rather change to Midori, Chromium or whatever though and may have to because Firefox really sucks by now so I have to rely on Opera too often.

Well thank you for correcting me and I apoligize for calling you or any FireFox users a Hipster.
