AndrewC: I don't understand all the "omg Intel is evil!" as this has been already implemented in every fucking Blue-Ray player on the market;
I get your point. But in my view, Blue-Ray is just as evil for the very same reasons.

GameRager: Um basically being monitored after purchase by some nanny state program watching if you're being naughty or not with your legally purchased media?

Narushima: Now that's just being paranoid. We're talking about a protection, here, not a spyware.
If you acquire the film legally, it will play. if not, it won't. As simple as that. No CIA mind control program.
What about rips for backup reasons? What about compatibility in the future? They sell you a film with you thinking you own the right to play the film, whenever and however you see fit. You'll have to find out yourself you can only play it when they see fit and then you realize that in that setting, the price is quite high. Better go to a movie theater twice for around the same price, but far better experience.

GameRager: I dunno, but people call unfair things and nazis for some reason so I continued the tradition.

pops117: You also continued the tradition of invoking Godwin's law. This thread is over.
Heh :)
