Have you guys thought about partnering up with the makers of ScummVM? The newest release of their software runs most of the Sierra SCI engine games -- and they run much better than they do in DOSBox.

Playing the talkie games especially I get pops and glitches in the sound that are a constant interruption, at least in DosBOX, but this problem does not appear when I run the games in ScummVM. In addition, their application smooths out some of the fonts and sprites, making it look a little better, at least to me.

Happily, I can easily load the games I've purchased through you guys using the ScummVM software, so I get the best of both worlds.

Just a heads up for you, and for anyone else out there having trouble with some glitchy performance in some of the Sierra games.
GOG uses ScummVM for some GOGs already I believe.
GOG does indeed use ScummVM already (BASS, Broken Sword 2, Feeble Files, Gobliiins, LOTT, Simon the Sorcerer, maybe others), but since ScummVM only recently added support for the Sierra titles, I don't think any of the GOG games are using it yet, they still rely on DOSBox.
If you get pops and crackles in DOSBox games, try changing some of the settings in the .conf file. Notably:

[mixer]
nosound=false
rate=44100
blocksize=1024
prebuffer=50
Also remember to update to a newer version if available.
