I see it's on sale at steam for $1.99.

I already beat the game on the 360 version, so I don't really care about the episode itself.

Are there any good mods out there that would make the purchase worthy by themselves?

edit- screw it, it's only $2 and I found some mods that could be interesting so I'm buying it

Basically, buying Episode 2 should enable you to run the vast majority of Source-based mods. I *think* Half Life 2's models and textures are included in the Source SDK Base (which you'll have to download from the "Tools" menu), so really all you have to worry about is mods that demand you have Counter Strike: Source, Episode 1 or Team Fortress 2, or Portal assets, and those are quite small in number.

The end battle of Episode 2 is the worst design by Valve ever.

Not related to thread, just thought I would throw that in there.
Ok I wasn't sure about that Delusions , thanks. I was looking at the steam mods and only one I saw said you just needed a source engine game, all of the others just said you need hl2. I didn't know if that included the episodes

I didn't really like it either. After awhile I put the game on easy just so I could be done with it. I didn't know at the time though that it was the last battle
