Hi everyone!. Im littlelizard and, well, i registered on GOG simply cause is the only way to having PS:T & Baldur's. Trouble is, i still don't have paypal (turned 18 about 6 hours ago) and gonna create the account tomorrow. But i still have one question: I'm from Uruguay, Latin America (known for being a country where even the government uses piracy software) and, well, my question is, as my country is meaningless to game publishers: Does GOG.com games gonna cost me more/less or even be able to buy them for being in this country full of pirates??

Welcome to GOG and Happy Birthday!

You may have issues with Paypal as countries with substantial fraud problems tend not to be supported (I don't know if fraud is also an issue, but it sounds like it might be).

So you might have better luck getting a Visa debit card.

Edit: oh and just to be clear about this: GOG won't stop you from buying anything. But Paypal might.

paypal does exist in uruguay, and you can use it here. it just happens that most people doesnt even know it exists. i just wanted to see because GOG say they offer worldwide but everypage on gog metion "worldwide as US, UK and EU" (not insulting you GOG). and as i didnt find any reference to if it was possible to buy games from latin america, i just asked. If i can, then just will make the paypal account and buy PS:T. Thanks!
at least poland has a renowned game developer. we only have the FIFA world championship of 1930 & 50 :P. thanks anyway
I'm from Panama, but I'll keep the post in english instead of bantering in spanish with my fellow latin american new poster.

There are several GOGers from different latin american countries posting here and in my case, I have never had a problem paying with a VISA credit card from a local bank. If you have paypal, you shouldn't have a problem there either and GOG's payment page is one of the simplest and most hassle free I've ever seen. Paypal does make small charges for their service though but GOG's prices remain the same in every country around the world. No regional restriction whatsoever, so we don't get to feel like the last kid to be picked at a football match (or should I say at a soccer match?) :)

No. No, you should not.
GOG charges the same price worldwide, but do note, the actual price charged is sometimes a few pennies off. I suspect this is due to minor currency fluctuations or minor rounding errors on multi-game purchases.

Just make sure you have extra of whatever passes for a cent in your currency in whatever type of account you use.

Or asking that because your writting in English so linking to the US (and Canada for we call football soccer also, cause there is Canadian football here (100m field instead of the American 100 yard), not like most of the population care anyway for the national sport is hockey)

As far as I know, we all call it Football (or futbol). Just wanted to make sure he knew what kind of football I was talking about.

I'll never get why they call american football like that, since the only time they touch the pigskin with the foot is for that three point kick thing they do... and it's only one guy doing it.
*obligatory hand-egg joke*

Even though I'm an American football fan, it seemed odd to me that we called it football too. I think that what it officially comes down to is that whatever is the country's most popular form of sport that is played with a ball while on foot, is called football. This was used in the past to differentiate it from the sports the aristocrats would play while on horseback, like polo.
