Hi everyone.

I am looking for a game i played ages ago. I'm by no mean a gaming wiz (especially when it comes to pc games), so forgive me if I'm overlooking some classic. I don't have very much to go on, I've tried to figure out which game I'm searching for through my friends, but no one knows. I remember playing it with some friends who found it to be very boring, because we got stuck almost right away, but I've stayed intrigued for all these years. Anyway, here's what little i remember from the game:

I played it sometime in the 90's. I've probably been 13 at most, so I would guess I played it around 95-96.

It's a 2d point and click kind of game, seen from above, not from a first person view.

It's probably a horror/mystery game.

You control a man who's stranded in a town. There's something with a plane crash. I would suspect that the main protagonist survived the plane crash, and therefore is stranded in the town, but I can't say for sure.

I remember having to look for a key (i think) in the very beginning of the game, but I'm not entirely sure.

The protagonist might be suffering from amnesia, trying to piece together his memories.

I think the town is largely abandoned or maybe the inhabitants are just generally hostile/secretive.

I hope someone will be able to help.

Thanks.

Wow, that was quick!

Exactly, that's the one! Is it worth playing?

Thanks! It has plagued me for weeks now!

No problem.

As I recall, I was never able to finish it for some reason, but I did enjoy what I played of it. Not sure how it would hold up today. I've been looking to get in contact with the people who made it to get it released again, but I haven't had much luck. =/
I hope you will succeed at some point. Veil of Darkness was kind of the one that got away for me.
