macuahuitlgog: snippy
online Co-op with people you know?
I've been gaming for a long time and I've never played an online game of any kind. I just enjoy the solo experience. Finished solo Diablo again and now playing Doom solo. I play at my own pace and play it the way I want to. Real life is aggrevating enough, I don't want it during my gaming time.

macuahuitlgog: Yeah, I can only understand being nasty to noobs who refuse to learn but if someone is just a noob, the more experienced players should be nice, and help them learn, in my opinion.
First one would be a noob. The second player would be a newbie.
At least from my knowledge of online gaming.

A noob:Could be someone that thinks they know what they are doing.Or someone that has been playing the game for years and still has no idea how to play.

Newbie:Someone still new to the game, that has yet to learn all the tricks and ropes of the game. With the right care, they can become a great player and maybe even a friend.

I my self, like single player games.Come with a nice pause key, great for when you have to deal with unwanted guest or someone who you have to meet with at 5 a clock.

I dont play online much these days partly for these reasons... The main reason is there is little varity anymore..

You played 1 FPS online you played most of them..
I used to love Call of Duty up to World at War for single player expieriance but the IP is just being milked to death now.

A lot of MMO's that come out are trying to copy WoW. I dont like WoW so why should i want to play a game that tries hard to copy it? I do like mmo's there is just a massive droubt of good ones. They all lack that sence of adventure that you used to have back with Ultima Online and Everquest.

Navagon: When it comes to online games Steam actually becomes a good thing. Having a friends list and the ability to invite friends into a game, rather than taking your chances in random servers makes for a much better experience.

JudasIscariot: Are you playing on a console or PC? Less screaming kiddies on the PC...

Navagon: Less screaming kiddies. More angry nerds. Both populate their own levels of Hell.
too true :)

Although outside of Counterstrike Servers with "Boobs" or "Whore" in the name, I've never really had any truly bad experiences with multiplayer (just the usual internet jerkwads). Maybe you're playing the wrong games?
