I just found this really funny. Oh, and it's 0. Stay in school, kids. (That includes me, but I don't play MMOs, so THERE!)
MY SON HAS NOT MET HIS REQUIRED GRADE POINT AVERAGE @ SCHOOL. I HAVE RESULTED IN REMOVING HIS WARCRAFT ACCOUNT.
I AM NOT A CHILD SELLING THIS ACCOUNT AND ONCE IT IS SOLD IT WILL BE FINAL AND WILL NOT BE RECALLED. I CAN GUARANTEE THAT IN WRITING.
Haha.
Yeah, my dad always threatened to either throw out the modem (ew, dial up) or the computer. Probably wouldn't have worked. =P
MY SON HAS A BETTER CHARACTER THAN ME AND IS RAIDING THE LATEST CONTENT WHILE I'M STILL STUCK IN FUCKING NAXXRAMAS. I APPLIED TO HIS GUILD BUT WAS REJECTED BECAUSE MY GEARSCORE WAS BELOW 5000 LOL!!!

Like it mattered, he'd just use that as an excuse to go DSL anyway.
Isn't it illegal to sell accounts in WoW? :)

Not in any legal way. But the account will be ban hammered if this is discovered.
You know what would be worth 250$. seeing the look on the kid's face after finding out his wow account has been sold.
Mom:I sold your account!
kid:NOooooooooooooooo.
me:[evil laugh]

I think he was the one that typed all the information. After reading it, there are statements like "You will be paying for all the time and effort I have put into playing this character."
The mother just put in the disclaimer at the top so the buyer would know they're not dealing with a minor; since minors can't sign contracts, they can decide that maybe they don't want to sell it and screw the buyer over.

Technically there isn't any "law" against it, but it is in violation of the EULA and the account can be banned by Blizzard.
With that said, this is AWESOME! Honestly I wasted way too much time playing games when I was in school. I kinda wish my parents had been able to take a more proactive stance in my childhood. Oh well. Most would say I turned out ok.

DSL wasn't around back then (or atleast not readily available, we were paying per hour for dialup, bad times indeed). If it had been, WOOO!
