So here's the question: If GOG had its own mascot that exemplifies retro gaming what character would you choose and why? (Assuming any possible copyright infringement wasn't an issue.)

The Enclave Armored Guy on the box of Fallout 2
Duke Nukem
The Avatar from the Ultima series
Lara Croft
Sam & Max
Guybrush Threepwood

When the servers get overwhelmed there's a little guy holding the planet on his back. That might be considered a GOG mascot by some.

The monks make a good candidate as well.

People from North Wales are called gogs as slang (gogledd being Welsh for north apparently.) Based on that, maybe a dragon. Maybe we can just steal spyro.

Valve already has Gabe Newell so why not make it Marcin for GOG?

Yeah, I agree, the monks would make great mascots :D.
But if I had to choose a nostalgic game character... hmm.

I think I'd like to choose Guybrush Threepwood (because I love MI and he's just so loveable), Gabriel Knight, April Ryan (because I'm an adventure game fanatic) or Boo! The miniature-giant-space-hamster from Baldur's Gate 2!
