Billy Bob can complain about bad movies when he isn't busy trying to market Faster as an intelligent action film.
He probably played Gears Effect, I mean Mass Effect.
I like this part:
“They’re geared toward the video game-playing generation. And these video games, which I’m on my son about constantly, these games are people killing for fun...”
Umm, don't you exercise some control of the media exposure of your kids? Back to the excuse of today's parent: it's the video games and Hollywood, not my absentee child-rearing.

Billy Bob - millions of kids before my generation were raised on violent and mildly racist cowboy serials. The only difference is that the morals today aren't so black and white and the violence is now blood-red. 30 years ago I made my hand into a pistol shape, made some shooting noises, and my cop or robber friend fell over in his or her cheesiest Hollywood imitation. Today, they do the same thing online.
I think the guy has a point. Movies and games are affecting each other negatively. In my opinion, both get dumbed down in the process. Movies intellectually (for want of a better word), as the aim of games is purely to entertain, and games mechanically through shallow, cinematic gameplay that requires minimal user input. Not saying that all influences are bad, but I'd prefer it if the two forms were kept more separate .
He generalizes games and gamers. Sign that he's old, and tired. But he is right on movies, nowadays most big popular multiplex movies are utter shit for the lack of a more precise word. But like it's been said, there are good movies that are released without fanfare all the time. The furute is on demand streaming. : )
