nmillar: And a bit less complicated! :P

wpegg: I said it was the answer I liked, not the simplest. I never like the simplest. The nice thing about that one is that it only involves asking one person about themselves, there is no reference to the other, and I find that neat. You could add the extra constraint that neither one knows about the other.
Don't get me wrong; I agree with your method too; it's just a little bit more complicated to explain to people!

keeveek: But the girl in the movie did the same and she died, did she?
No, she made the wrong choice, but was somehow saved from "certain doom" - it's been a while since I've seen The Labyrinth, so I can't tell you exactly how - something to do with hands, I think.

And she did the same as you told. Answer was YES and she went opposite and fell.... Hmm... the liar told her about the rules, maybe the rules were also a lie?!

And the question from wpegg is wrong. Because he's not asking about the other guy.

And the answers are YES and NO if the road is correct and also YES and NO if the road is not correct.

In your question the answer is NO only when road is correct and YES when it's not.

The red guy broke the rules apparently. The Labyrinth puzzle is a bad example. She in fact made the right choice.

No she made the right choice. The path led to the oubliette which was the right way to the center of the labyrinth.

There we go then; it has been a while since I've seen it!
I think so... Cause she didn't die, yes? She didn't die, and the wrong door led to CERTAIN death.

I think it's that way :-)
What if it was a trap made by Kenshiro and hence she was already dead? Or a philosophical thing, so it was like a turning point on a path that will eventually lead to death? Everything leads to a certain death if you look at it like a true pessimist.
I've never seen the movie.
I didn't know then, but there was another solution to this problem.

I'm in a nice mood, another GOG for people. All you need do is tell me the desired *wrong* answer to this riddle:

Always running, stays in place,
has a mouth but not a face,
has no lungs and yet can roar,
a passageway without a door.

1 Free gog for the first correct answer.
A river?

Typhoon45: A river?
IT'S A TRAP!

I said the desired wrong answer. There's always a catch.
Some kind of dragon?

Dragobr: Some kind of dragon?
there we go, PM me for your game.
well, it's safe to say that I don't get it :P

That makes two of us :P
