It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I was simply trying to install a program to let me use a PS3 controller on my computer, but a pop up appeared that forced downloaded and installed a tool bar and search engine called inminet. And Its always show pop ups on my computer, not in the internet alone on the computer.

So far I have removed as much of it as possible, i uninstalled it, Removed it from Google Chromes extensions, Removed the stuff oaway from downloads. But the only thing left is that the pop ups still comes and I still see it on the Contol Panal in the Notification Area Icons.

So how do I remove this filthy thing off my computer
I'm assuming you already tried something like this guide, but since I don't have your problem I can only point to that and wish you all the best.
Is this hidden in the Motioninjoy installer these days?

I assume my adblock would prevent something like this from happening.

Also I am worried that I screwed up the process of removing it because I was just doing how i thought of removing it but from a guide I have seen its there are a lot of things left to remove.

That.. is a very strange comment, unless I'm misreading it.
Why would adblock stop it?
Adblock only stops ads and popups generated by webpages via HTML/Javascript, it doesn't stop you from installing things.

It will probably be fine, perhaps a bit messier than you would've liked but it shouldn't be impossible to remove.

Still it would be nice if someone with experience with this particular beastie could offer a hand.

My brother could he said he will do it after he finishes his fucking DOTA 2 Match :P
Smannesmann's guide is all that you need. My guess is that the only really critical steps will be manually removing it from your browsers, and running Malware Bytes' Anit-Malware.

I read the OP, but it still serves you right for drinking with this lot!

*yes I can say things like that as im a part time friend of Dorothy - before anyone finds the need to retort!

but: in situations like this I've always used something like CCleaner to mop up the registry etc and its had a decent success rate on the rare occasions over the years.

One little FYI which you probably already know, but just in case.
When installing strange (as in from smaller developers) applications, don't simply click Next until it shuts up.
Go for the Custom installation option, often they will have hidden the toolbar installation in one of the steps and you need to uncheck the 'Install random POS software' box.

Amazing that my Avira Virus Scanner did not identify this as a Malware.

How about listening to some music while waiting for your brother? :)

Actually it is common for anti-virus softwares to miss certain malware hence there are now two versions where we have Anti-virus Software and Internet Security Suites, that is why a specialized software is needed to tackle it like Malware Bytes.

Until my brother comes back from another DOTA 2 match my problem with these guides is that it recommends installing another virus remover and I do not want to because how do I know it won't be a bitch to uninstall and remove said anti virus programs. Is there no way to manually remove this by myself.

The Iminenet is still in the Notifications Area Icons on Windows 7 impying that some of it is still infected in my computer. It presence is still here. So far an ad has not popped up on the screen yet.

Strangely enough one of the characteristics of Iminent is that it shows a tool bar right below URI Bar but when I first got this on my computer the Tool Bar never showed on Google Chrome.

I think its probably that my Adblock prevented it from appearing so thank you Adblock, the sole and only reason I have you installed is to prevent malware shit like that from happening on my web browser.

Adblock won't stop something you choose to install (in your OP you said this got onto your computer when you were installing a PS3 controller emulator). As noted, Adblock only blocks ads from webpages.
