Just to clarify; is the wall-hack aim-bot cheater problem prevalent on console versions (specifically, PS3) as well?

Nope. Only for PC version.

Well, that just cements my decision about getting this on the PS3. Sucks that all PC gamers can get out of such a title is a shoddy console port. I guess the fact that hardcore PC gamers like me are now slowly beginning to realize they need to own a console too is evidence that some developers neglect of the PC is starting to have some effect, moving gamers on to the console market.
That being said, I love my PS3. I was skeptical about bluray (pay extra for that? NOWAI!), but after I began getting bluray movies when my new laptop came with a bluray as well (again, no other option), honestly i'm not going back to getting the top movies on DVD.
And the accessibility of a console just can't be beat. Turn on the TV, slap in the game, play for hours.

Weclock: I was in it until I got lower prices.
I got lower prices, so therefore I won. :D

Doesn't seem any lower to me. Sure there's the 4 pack and 10% discount, but that's pretty standard and the same as the first one. No L4D1 discount or anything like that.

$33.75 is a nice price. :D

It's not bad, no. But if all you wanted was the same deals the first one got then I don't really understand why you boycotted in the first place. Why not just wait and see if the price drops to something you can swallow? That's what I do.

If you do end up picking it up for the PS3, tell me your PSN ID. I am really loving the multiplayer and would love to play some with any GOGers, though I won't be buying the 360 or PC version.

Kingoftherings: You'll be waiting a while. CoD4 is still $40 (USD) two years after release. When you factor in that MW2 is $60 and "The best game evar!" I wouldn't be surprised if the price increased. (With inflation and such)

The EU price for CoD4 on Steam is still €50. Fifty fucking Euros. That's the same price as Borderlands and the regular version of Dragon Age. CoD:WaW and Prototype also costs €50.
I picked it up for both the 360 and PC.
Eh, the PC version certainly is a port and while IWNet works, it isn't perfect. While I was never part of the boycott, I did throw in my support for the petition asking for dedicated server support, though with how matchmaking works, I don't think it'll happen.
I really don't hate people that have a problem with MW2, nor do I hate people that think it's the best game in the world. Though the hopping up and down is starting to give me a headache. ;)

KingofGnG: Well, what's the matter here....
PC games were always at the edge of publishers interest in the earlier days of home gaming, then (in the mid-nineties) the PC got revenge and lately it has once again lost the appeal for some of the biggest publishers out there...
So said, imho who damn cares about Cod. Diablo III will be a PC game and I will buy it, so go screw yourselves you big moronic publishers while I laugh at your foolishness (you know, PC is possibly the largest gaming platform out there) from a huge pile of downloaded ISOs of your "consoly"-themed shit :-P

Have fun waiting for Diablo III, which is slated to release until 2011, maybe even later.

I can wait... I just have to complete Diablo II with classes other than the Paladin so there are still plenty of things to do for me (I'm a "complete-everything" gamer type....).
That's probably the most depressing gaming image I've ever seen, that also made me laugh. I don't care how silly people think the Starcraft/COD/L4D/etc boycotts are - In my mind they're important and should be supported, lest we continue to encourage publishers to stomp all over us.
In short: Go GOG

It's important to remember that the L4D2 boycott had its' needs met. Gabe Newell helped explain why things were happening the way they are and what will happen in the future.
