Fenixp: That means that most mods for Oblivion won't work correctly (even thou there are some mods for Nehrim)
What about graphical mods? I'm planning on coming back to Oblivion to finish a few things I never did and then I was going to try Nehrim, but I was also planning on installing some texture packs and stuff since my computer is a lot more powerful now. If I spice up Oblivion's graphics through texture packs, will that carry over to Nehrim? In other words, does Nehrim use the original Oblivion textures for the environment / landscapes / caves / etc.?

Well I suppose in theory they should, but I'm not sure. It IS using a lot of Oblivion's assets. You might try to visit forums and try finding out yourself. I'm not really interested in graphics enhancing modification since my computer isn't all that powerful. Also keep in mind that Nehrim introduces a bunch of new things - the ... damnit I forgot the word, blurring of very distant stuff is probably the most important one.

Tarm: Greetings.

I'm eagerly awaiting TES 5 and need something to play until then. So I thought about Two Worlds 2.

Since I know almost nothing about Two Worlds 2 and it ain't cheap I'd appreciate it if you here could tell me its differences and similarities to Oblivion.

What I'm after in a RPG game like these is as much freedom as possible to just go around having fun and lots of mods.
Going by my experience with the first Two Worlds - there is more to do in smaller space where as in Elder Scrolls you're walking for most of the game.

Also Two Worlds takes to an third-person action/arcade where as Elder Scrolls is like a first person tourist demo.

It's called Depth of Field, and actually, I usually don't like it. Do you know if it can it be switched off in Nehrim?

I'll check the forums about whether texture packs work with Nehrim, but I'll probably do it later as I've got several other games to get through first anyway.

Switching DoF off was the first thing I did when I got the option, so yeah, it can :D It's just placed in new character screen under settings.
Arcania Gothic 4 and the new Divine Divinity are great time killers... TW2 have yet to try is there a demo?
You like TES for all the reasons I don't care much about and dismiss all the things I do care about.

SAD FACE.

Yeah, check out Nehrim.
