I did not even try to click on any as they are not my type of games and I have won my fair share lately.

Is it so hard to thank someone after taking a gift from him or her?

Aw, missed it. Thank you for being such a generous fellow, though!

It's notable that there are more thanks from people who did NOT take codes...

Guess thanking people isn't really "cool" anymore :/
Holy *expletives deleted* I missed this! And a great big middle finger to the turds who took all those codes without thanking the generous SpaceManthe.

Like someone pointed out recently in a certain giveaway thread, there are a lot of leeching scumbags around but thankfully there are more of us who are not.

Speaking of which:

Somehow people are still surprised by people not saying thanks or using bots.

Anyway thanks regardless (and no i haven't taken anything).

lugum: or using bots.
Bots can be used in the forums to collect codes? That is just wrong on so many levels. Like Ragnarblackmane, I have to keep the curse words from coming from my mouth to keyboard... sick f......
I'm a bit late to the party so what I wanted is already taken (Bioshock) but thanks for your generosity. Before someone send me a code (this place is awesome like that) I must say I already have it on XBOX and I'm too chicken to play it, I can't get myself to enter the city at the very beginning after swimming to the "island", I'm afraid of the dark in games (not in real life weirdly enough).
Not going to be using steam so i won't take any of these...

Yes. Anyone with some basic scripting competence can cook something up that scans the GOG forums for links and codes, and enters them at their respective redemption sites. It's not particularly difficult, especially if it all takes place in a browser.

The best way to addressing this, if you care about it, is MAHAYO ("Make A Human Answer YOu"), i.e. give your codes away in a way that only a real human can use them. Techniques include leaving out a few characters and posting them further below, posting a riddle that leads to the code, or sending your code only after a simple task has been performed ("post your favorite ice cream flavor", "write a seven word SciFi story", etc.).

IndieGala has an interesting feature, it shows you to which Steam account exactly a key was redeemed. I'm not sure if Humble provides this feature, though. And in any case, the OP may notz be interested, after all his intention was to make some people happy (which he did), not to spend time hunting possible leeches.
