jonridan: I have some friends in Venezuela and for everything they tell me, and reading this... I can honestly say I would probably just get away from that country. I'm from Argentina and we seem to be going down that route too... I guess we'll see what happens in the 2015 election. The funny thing is that all of this happens because the currency is based on dollars instead of gold or whatever so if the country runs out of dollars all of your hard-earned money becomes nothing.
Wish you luck and hope you can make it :)
One of the reasons I'm so hell bent on going ahead with this, scared as I might be, instead of trying to push it is that. I have a few friends in the old continent that might be able to help me, once I'm there, get a job there. It's too much of an opportunity to let it pass, and I likely won't be able to (Easily at least, I have my ways...) leave the country again anytime soon due to how hard it's become to renew a passport and how airlines are pretty much no longer offering outbound flights for Venezuelans.
DeMignon: If it's Germany where you have to go to, shoot me a PM. Maybe I'm able to help by any chance.
I'll be in Spain, France and Italy, but the latter two are the ones that worry me. In Madrid I do have a few friends and a cousin I'll be staying with who, if worse comes to worse, will feed me because she's not going to let me starve :P
