Its been said before so I'll try and mix it up a bit for you.
That really sucks. Death sucks, I'm going to drop kick it in the face when I see it.
Many GoG condolences.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but I'm glad to see you seem to be dealing with it pretty well - much better than I would have.

But make no mistake, you NEED to grieve. Do not feel ashamed of expressing the emotions you feel for him, even if you have to do this in private or with a very close friend or two. What he probably wouldn't want you to do is grieve *excessively*. But don't keep it in, it is very harmful to your health, mental state and even your memory of your father.
Be sure to help your mom out as you can, it will be good for both of you. And of course keep on helping your little brothers. Pull together as a family. After a little while, talk about him, maybe a tiny bit at a time. Make the fond memories of him unforgettable.
Take care of yourself and your family.
Nobody ever knows what to say. I think what you actually expressed right there is pretty powerful.

Just read this now... my condolences. May you find strength to move on, and may the good memories and the lessons you've learned from him guide you in the path ahead.
