Haha..agreed! We may get something new, but chances of getting anyone worth a shit is very low. No one with half a brain and ability would want to have anything to due with American politics anymore. Christ, I have seen how the party enscounched old dogs stoop to muck raking (mostly making bs up to discredit someone new who isn't a "game player"), and even throwing up road blocks in attempts to keeping them off tickets at just my little local level here in my town. It's discouraging beyond belief. I'm afraid we're screwed, lol. This may actually be the first presidential election I may decide to just sit out; and for someone who has always encouraged others to get out and vote, because that's the one true way to make your voice heard, is very sad...

It's nice to see optimism in my fellow Americans. I'm afraid as I get older, mine is seeping away, lol. I am slowely entering the "bunker mentallity". At this point, just want to sell my house here in New York, head South (preferrably South Carolina) where taxes are cheap, the people are friendly, cost of living is relatively reasonable, get my own nice little spot far from otthers, and ride my Harley all year long [and play some awesome games on rainy days ;-) ], As for others, I wish them well in fighting the good fight. I put my many hours in canvassing neighborhoods for ballot signatures, at town hall meetings, feeling my blood pressure rise all too many times, as the powers that be listened in total patronizing apathty, lol. Done with that crap, and headed to a less stressful life, if the housing market here will allow my escape, lol. Gee, every thread posted here on GOG is game related only? Coulda fooled me

Can't believe we're going over this again. Online gaming forums are the worst place to flaunt your political beliefs that no one cares about. You do that kind of thing on blogs, reddit and - I dunno - maybe there's a political forum out there somewhere.

I'm a huge politics buff but I would never open a thread here discussing what I think of David Cameron, because it's absolutely not appropriate for this environment and no one gives a damn.

There's plenty of threads posted on here that don't interest me either, sometimes I look at them, sometimes I don't. I wouldn't open a politcal thread here or anywhere else for that matter, but as the OP did, I felt like commenting. Do what I do...if a topic is something I am not interested in, or don't think is appropriate, I skip it by. Have a nice day...or evening as the case may be...
