It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

hedwards: It's easy to use, except when it isn't. They still have an unresolved bug where the forum software loses posts without any particular reason.

Unless you know that the software sometimes doesn't post messages and know to copy the message before clicking submit, you can end up having the message not post and be given no warning that it didn't post.
Aye that happens to me if I try to write multiple posts before hitting "Post my message" on the previous ones. That's kind of annoying if I forget. Is that the one you are referring to? Or are you losing posts even when you make a single post? I don't think I've had that happen.

Kind of a tangent, but what's up with saying you have a "beef?" I mean, why use it as a perjorative? I'd rather say that I have a "turkey." Because I hate turkey.

Just single posts, and it's really annoying because it doesn't matter which ISP, browser or OS I use.

huh ... that's odd, I've not had that happen to me. I wonder if it is a time-out issue? I've had some posts take awhile to go through ... but they did go through in the end. Weird. I'm not sure what to make of that - other than GOG simply doesn't like you personally of course. :P

Quite possibly, but the issue I have with it is that the software doesn't give any indication that the operation didn't go through and still reloads the page as if the post did.

hmph ... I've got nothing.

Another problem - multi-quoting can get messed up and show the whole post even the new stuff as a quote if there are too many quotes in the post (hence why I delete 2nd or 3rd-order quotes). I was just reminded of this when I was quoting hedwards and I noticed both he and I were deleting 3rd level quotes. I almost do so automatically now that I don't even think about it. Of course sometimes one should do it anyway for brevity, but still, it would be nice if the post didn't get screwed up over it.

I tend to do that just because it gets to be harder to follow if I've got a humongous 8 reply nested quote.

What really irritates me sometimes is when somebody quotes the entire reply, including a reply that's not a part of the sub thread.

I've had it before where I've accidentally munged a quote tag and the forum's thrown a formatting error then when I correct it and try to post again,it just dissappears without posting
I think I've had it before just randomly - but it kept doing it whne I was making a particular post on a particular thread repeatedly so I assumed it was a one time deal
