Until i got a headset - the people I'm currently living with hated the noise from the TV so i normally played with the audio down, but with this new headset gaming actually feels fun again!

Has anyone else had a similar experience?
I found it hard to enjoy gaming until I finally got a solid chair. Seriously, the chair before my previous was a garden chair. I couldn't play any game for more than an hour.
Wired optical mouse did it for me... was using a laser and couldn't stand it.. i just stopped playing.... then i got my MX518 and fell in love...
Headsets are great. I used one all the time for console gaming because my gaming tv was right next to the other tv.

But now I mostly play pc games and I'm always listening to music at the same time so I've gotten away from using them.
I got on my bros FPS rig the other day and was blown away. What a difference keyboard and mouse make.
I never play with the headset off anymore. It's the only way to really immerse yourself. Play Amnesia both with and without a headset and tell me otherwise :-)

This. I recently picked up a wired Razer DeathAdder and couldn't be happier with it
It was only three years ago that I started playing consoles with the purchase of a PS3. Playing on a 46" TV while comfortably seated in the sofa or the recliner chair, with the TV hooked up to proper speakers, changed everything.

I've barely touched PC gaming since ...

Penumbra and Amnesia are actually the reason why I never play with the headset on!

I find those types of games even creepier without headphones. At night, with the lights off, hearing the ambient sounds of the house as well as those right outside my window make it that much more real.
You can't enjoy gaming, IMHO, without a good chair and without a great mouse/mice.
, without a bottle of nice Whisky and a Havanna
