The Ubisoft weekend promo deal is too much. 17 games and $80 to take full advantage of the offer? I'm not sure how realistic that is. A lot of the threads I read here in the community discuss people's tight finances. That aside, what is someone going to do with 17 games at a pop?
Before anyone flames me, yes I know there is a smaller (but still quite generous) discount if we buy individual titles in the offer. I'm also painfully aware of how ungrateful I sound.
But, realistically, how many people are going to drop $80 bucks to buy 17 games in this offer. Wouldn't GOG and the community have been better served if the promotion had been scaled down and run over the span of a couple of weeks (say, 5 or 6 Ubisoft titles a week for three consecutive weeks)?
Maybe I'm way off here. And, please, feel free to tell me if I am, because I'm not above admitting when I'm wrong. But it just seems that this particular promotion idea, while sure to be attention-getting, isn't practical.
