Impossible to comare. One was a pulpy swashbuckling cliche, the other was the lead character in the greatest scifi series ever, played by a classicly trained actor. I guess if you like pul pirate shows, Kirk would interest you.

Can you justify why Picard? :-)

It's all a matter of personal preference, of course. But the two videos below show quite nicely why Picard is the better captain while Kirk is more awesome.
