I was just wondering. See, if it's available on Steam, some may come to a conclusion, that the original hosting site is no longer necessary. I need to back them up someday...
Thanks for the info guys!:)

Stuff: They sent me an email with the code this morning . . . I'm reading it thinking "Why would I want to download from Steam?" . . . O_0
It's a convenient place to get asset blobs for your source ports. I purchased the id pack for similar reasons.

KavazovAngel: Now you can activate Humble Indie Bundle on Steam. :)
Well as long as it's possible to have both version DRM-free and Steam I don't mind.

KavazovAngel: And Humble Indie Bundle 2 is coming...
I just hope that the HIB2 will still be DRM-free and not Steam exclusive.

Arteveld: True, but i wonder about the legal aspect.;)

Nnexxus: I guess you're not authorized to give away the code. I don't believe you're offered another licence here, merely an alternative download mean.
Nothing is stopping you from emailing the Wolfire Games guy and asking, you know. Maybe he'll be cool with it. You only have to ask. :)

+1 for that! :) Plus, the whole source code release also suits DRM-free copies better.

I love how without DRM, you can pack everything you need (the game, mods, personal settings), and then just extract the package whenever you want to play, and you are good to go.

Good idea, but my general sociophobic attitude actually stops me. Generally, i'm too lazy and too shy to do that. Asking people on my level, as in 'user asks user' is acceptable [by me], but me asking someone in charge and possibly getting taken as some pirate guy? Not really.;P
I'll just leave it be.

Don't be. I'm very antisocial and pretty neurotic, and I managed to send him an email about some stuff and got a quick response.

I also created an official Steam group for the bundle on his behalf - I sent him a suggestion and asked me to create it. I'll hand over ownership to him pretty soon.

Yeah, but i'm not so open, and i don't like to take lead on stuff. Even on LAN parties, when i'm hungry, i wait for other people to get hungry, so they can do the order, not me. Soo, taking initiative, that's a "no no". ;)

I don't really do Steam, i consider it a necessary app, due to games DRM, but not much more.
GOG is the only online community i'm in, and i think that's enough. Used to be an IRC warrior, but that was 10 years ago. So i think i'll have to pass.;)

Oh, it's okay if you don't like Steam. But somewhere out there there's an alternate universe version of you who will probably join the group. Maybe. :p

I'm one of a kind, nature doesn't make the same mistake twice.;P
But i bet there's plenty of people who are OK with Steam who will join. Good luck with the group!:)

I hope you never play LAN with robots otherwise you'd be starving to death :P
