Grargar:
Previous bundles actually indicated on the front page when games were tablet only without having to go into the system requirements to see a bold "tablet only." Since I bought the game to play on Windows I don't care much either way. It's no worse than having a "DRM-free" game with license keys and account logins.

Or having a "DRM-Free" game, only to discover it's DRM-Free only for Android.

... which part of "I'm not gonna argue" you didn't understood? Or do you consider me among the guys running humble?
Clear it with them if you have an issue with their claim of DRM-free. Again, I'm just telling how it works from personal experience with that game.
Hmm.. Only Metal Slug 3 appeals to me, I'll wait and see for upcoming games to decide a buy..

The part where you seemed to be arguing right before you said you weren't going to argue ;-)

I have written them about it. And you were replying to JMich saying he didn't know if it counted as DRM-free or not. It seemed like you were trying to excuse the Humble guys for calling it DRM-free even though it obviously isn't. And it still seemed that way when you replied to me.

Siannah: For singleplayer, that step needs to be done once. After that, it won't bother you again. No auto-login / trying to connect on startup or anything like that.
Once per install, or once ever? Can you re-install it on a second (and third, and fifth...) PC without having to re-authenticate it again, without going online?

If the account authentication is really only a one-time deal (per purchase), then yeah I could consider it DRM-free. If it is required every time you install the game, then it is DRM. Same deal as with Steam-games that can be played offline, but need to be re-authenticated online for each install.

Way to treat a person providing useful information.. -1 your way.

Oh, Skulls of the Shogun. While I'm not really in the mood for gaming lately I bought that bundle just for that game, one of the games I was highly interested but it took a long time to arrive on pc.

About the Galcon discussion. I don't know if Humble Bundle updated the infotext, but from my understanding Galcon Legends (which is more a big tutorial and single player) should be complete drm-free and the bonus game Galcon Fusion (multiplayer) needs an online account. If so, nothing to complain about from my site.

Quote from the bundle page:
Galcon Legends teaches the basic strategies of Galcon through a single-player campaign. The 23 levels can be easily defeated at the lower-ranks, but mastery at the Grand Admiral level will take much more effort!

As a bonus, you'll also receive Galcon Fusion, the original standalone high-paced multiplayer galactic arcade-strategy game! Note: The DRM-free Windows/Mac/Linux version of Galcon Fusion requires Galcon.com account registration to play (standalone key to activate the game is included with your purchase).

Edit: Or is the whole discussion just about the use of DRM-free in that last line? That would be indeed a mistake, as an online account is also in my eyes drm, but from the rest of the text it should be clear what you get here.

Yes, it's about the use of the term DRM-free.

That is certainly your prerogative, but...

1. I wasn't trying to offend anyone. Merely explaining my position in response to a personal attack.

2. What useful information? That multiplayer-only games are usually account-based? Incidentally, water is also wet.

Anyone know if that frozen synapse also unlocks a giftcopy? Normal version on steam does do that.

I doubt it. It didn't in the previous bundle.
Still waiting on the DRM-free Metal Slug, but I am looking forward to playing Ittle Dew on my phone.
So. did they added installer for Metal Slug after all or no?
