It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Just wondering. I want to download a game but not enough room on my computer... how do I select the destination for the downloads? Especially if I used my browser?

I use Firefox for downloading, after clicking Save, I click the Browse Folders button in the lower left corner, click Computer to reveal all the drives on your computer, select the drive, select the folder to download to and click ok / save. See image.

Edit: I create the folder I want to save to before I start the download process but . . . that is just me . . . =)

Thanks! The problem is that it doesn't give me the option and just downloads to a folder that is already predetermined.... ugh. Could I change the pathing a different way? If so how?

Thanks again!!

In Firefox, click Tools, Options and on the General Tab in the downloads section, click in the "Always ask me where to download" radio button.
I highly recommend the Download Statusbar add-on also: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/26/

It should really be there by default.

If you're using firefox, you can change the default download path (or set it to ask each time) by looking in Tools > Options. It's somewhere in there, but I can't say exactly where because I have a downloading extension that modifies the options menu somewhat.

EDIT: Double ninja'd, and Download Statusbar is in fact the extension I was talking about.

Are you using Firefox? If so then: Tools- > Options -> Ask where to download or something like that. (I use czech version so I translate it only roughly)

EDIT: Double ninja'd.

Firefox on its default install downloads to a specific folder every time. You want to go to Tools/Options under the General tab and look in the middle at Downloads, tell it you want to choose where each download goes. Then just browse to your external drive when you his Save As...
